Vandematarm Sreenivas and RP Patnaik are the music directors who have shown their acting talents on silver screen with full length characters these days. Earlier music director Chakravarthy used to do that. Even now guest roles are being played by almost every music director.
Now, unconfirmed news says that Devi Sri Prasad is going to do a full length role in Trivikram – Pawan Kalyan Movie. He will be doing the role of Pawan`s friend as per the gossips.
In fact, Devi Sree Prasad proved himself as successful music director and singer and also dances at times in stage shows. If he also proves to be a good actor, then it would certainly be a great deal for him in film industry. Showing multifaceted talent is certainly a good thing to note.
Gossip: Devi Sree Prasad To Act With Pawan Kalyan
Chiranjeevi's kids follow father
A recent incident proved this categorically. Recently a girl called Nazia was admitted to Nims Hospital with brain cancer. She is from an underprivileged background and is quite poor. On learning about the incident, the youngest daughter of Dr Chiranjeevi, Srija, took the help of her cousins and handed over Rs 50,000 to the patient for treatment. Speaking on the occasion, Srija said, "I came to know through a TV channel about the patient and was moved at her plight as she is almost my age. Immediately I contacted my cousins and collected Rs 25,000 from them, I personally took Rs 25,000 from my father and handed over Rs 50,000 to her for medical expenses. I pray God to give her good health as soon as possible." Source: Indiaglitz
Like father, like children. Chiranjeevi had started a big movement in the name of blood donation and eye donation. Padma Bhushan Dr Chiranjeevi is travelling in a path and it is only natural that his children are following his footsteps.
Aarti became student again
Aarti Agarwal is said to have joined a college in Mumbai to continue further education. She is doing Organizational Business Management. The producers do not have the guts and gumption to even give her a small role in a film after her accident during 'Andala Ramudu'.
Ask her if that means the end of the road for her she refuses to budge. She says she will be back in action soon. What ever it is we wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

Cold war between Teja and RP Patnaik!!
It seems a cold war is brewing between Teja and RP Patnaik. It may be mentioned here that Teja and RP Patnaik worked together for many films and there was a gap between them for some time. RP Patnaik had developed some fascination towards direction and directed a short duration film sometime ago.
He had also played hero in 'Sreenu, Vasanthi and Lakshmi'. Then RP Patnaik declared that he would take up music direction for the films that come in his own direction and distanced himself from music for sometime. Later, he resumed the work unable to sit lazily.
Again they joined hands together for Teja's latest flick 'Lakshmi Kalyanam' with Nandamuri Kalyanram in the lead. At a time when the film is nearing completion, RP Patnaik left for the US and did not return from there to complete the re-recording and other post-production formalities.
According to sources close to Teja, a war of SMS messages was going on between Teja and RP Patnaik. Both of them, instead of speaking each other, sending SMS messages and entangled in a battle of words. Let us wait and see what would happen in the near future.

Compliment to Asin 'irritates' Nayantara
Until now, there was only cold-war of sorts between the leading actresses in Tamil. But soon it just might escalate into an open fight. Trouble began when some sections of the media began to tout Asin as the best dancer among heroines these days. This has angered other leading heroines, mainly Nayantara.
"Most of us don't know a thing about dancing when we make our debut in films. Asin had been learning dance for a very long time. But look at actresses like Trisha. She didn't learn dance before getting into films, but she dances so gracefully. It is not a question of how much time you had spent to learn dance. It is how well you perform on the screen.
"It is not right to say that Asin is the best dancer. She dances well. That's all. Tamil film industry gives lot of importance to the dancing skills of its heroines. If people like Trisha, Sneha and I are still in the field, it is because we dance well too. If that was not the case, we'd be sitting at home, doing nothing," she replied.

Meera Jasmine to wed S J Suryah?
This year seems to be teeming with star marriages. Now, one more star couple have fallen into the net of love. S J Suryah's name was paired with his lead actresses like Nila and Bhumika, and the latest in the list is Meera Jasmine.
The two are acting together in tamil movie 'Thirumagan' and love seems to have blossomed! To prove that this more than mere gossip, the two are supposed to have got secretly engaged, according to reliable sources.
Meera has made it clear that Lokidas was a father figure to her and she distanced herself totally from him and then the Meera Jasmine and Surya romance came to light. It is to be noted that both belong to the Christian faith.
In tamil Movie'Vyabari' directed by Sakthi Chidambaram, Suryah has 3 heroines Tamana, Malavika and Namitha. There is no connection between this film and Meera Jasmine but she participated in the inaugural function and felicitated Suryah.
One could argue that he was her co-actor in another film, so she attended the function.
But Meera was in Kerala at that time and she flew down specially for the function, making their love quite evident.
They are to be married in the coming auspicious month of 'thai.'

Controversy on the release of 'GOPI'
Viswa Hindu Parishadh lodged a complaint with the film chamber today demanding to stop the screening of the film GOPI. GOPI is scheduled to release on 16th November. The complaint states that there are few scenes in the film that make fun of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi. Suresh and Rambha played these roles in the film.
Writer Janardhan Maharshi is making debut as director with this film. There is a comedy track that is introduced on Vishnu and Laxmi that is not liked by the Parishad. They claim that the scenes are derogatory and will not go good with Hindus. Seems that even Film Chamber recommended editing those scenes out from the prints.
The director said that there were no cuts whatsoever at this point. 'The film is releasing tomorrow without any cuts. Cuts will be done only after the release of the film and if the audience also feel the same way. This track is included only as per the demand of the story. There were so many comedy tracks and cartoons on our Gods before but no one cared then. Nevertheless, I dont feel that the scenes are derogatory or made fun of our Gods. My film is filled with 2 1/2 hrs of hillarious entertainment and I request folks to judge the film only after watching it ', says Janardhan Maharshi.
Allari Naresh, Jagapati Babu and Arti Chabria played lead in the film.

Mahesh Babu to act with Chiranjeevi??
The new film 'Shankaradad Zindabad' is going to be a multi-starrer. As Chiranjeevi said, multi-starrer would certainly go expensive beyond the pocket limits of Telugu producers. But that is going to happen tentatively. Inside sources said that Ravi Teja is playing the role of ATM in the film 'Shankarada Zindabad', the remake of 'Lage Raho Munnabhai'.
On the other hand, fresh gossip is saying that the character played by Jimmy Shergill in the original is going to be played by Shivaji in remake version. The character of a guy that wishes to commit suicide after putting his entire father's money in loss ventures touches the hearts of audiences. Shivaji is considered to be the right one for the role. Well, it has the tempo of the character played by Rohit in 'Shankardada MBBS'.
Another big gossip that pumps interest is that a very popular young hero is playing the role of Abhishek Bachchan in this film and his name is intended to keep as top secret till the release of the film. Earlier it was thought that Pawan Kalyan is going to play the role. But now, considering various ins and outs, the names of other young heroes are also coming into discussion. Who will he be? Will he be Prabhas (?), Mahesh Babu (?) or Allu Arjun (?).
Indeed, many are saying that Mahesh Babu shares a very good personal rapport with Chiranjeevi. If he is placed, theatres turn wild with chaotic claps and whistles. If Allu Arjun or Pawan Kalyan makes presence, it sounds to be Chiru's family affair. Prabhas would be reasonable again.
But there is another gossip that Srikanth is also being considered to play Abhishek Bachchan's character as ATM role is going to Ravi Teja. Will that work!? Let's wait and see.

'Guru' creating fued in Ambani family?
Manirathnam's films are usually controversial, but don't aim at anyone in particular. Until now, his films had only irked terrorists and fundamentalists. But this time, he seems to have offended a very powerful business tycoon.
'Guru' is the name of his new film and ever since its launch, there were rumors that it was based on the life of businessman and visionary Dhirubhai Ambani. Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Madhavan and Vidhya Balan had played the lead roles.
The mere fact that Abhishek and Aishwarya had played the lead roles has made many distributors hesitate to touch the film, thanks to their previous record at the box office (all the films starring the two had failed).
When Mukesh Ambani heard that the film was based on his father, he was curious to see the film. Then he came to know that in the film, he was portrayed as a person with negative shade. Naturally, he wasn't happy. This is especially so because the film was produced by Adlabs, which is owned by his media-savvy younger brother, Anil Ambani.
Manirathnam has now decided to seek Amitabh Bachchan's intervention to get the film released.

Kamna Jethmalani’s item song in Sainikudu?
Fights, comedy track, songs. These are one of the must have ingredients of a telugu movie. A new addition to this list is an item song. All big movies off late have an item song. Mumaith Khan in Pokiri, Anushka in Stalin, Shriya in Prabhas’ Munna and in Devadasu in the past. Big actresses too don’t mind do item song for quick, easy money.
The new addition to the list is a little known Kamna Jethmalani, whose last film was Samanyudu opposite Jagapati Babu. Highply placed sources from the unit inform NonstopCinema that she is doing an item song in Prince Mahesh’s Sainikudu. The movie’s music scored by Harris Jeyraj made it to the top in no time and is steady there inspite of new releases. The movie is slated for release on the 30th of this month. Kamna’s stature would only grow after doing an item song with Mahesh.
Producers Association upset with Sriram!
Sriram who was introduced to telugu cinema through Okarikokaru is actually a telugu boy is known as Srikanth in tamil movies. He got embroiled in a controversy with a tamil producer RS Anthanan. Anthanan has worked as Srikanth's PRO.
On becoming producer, he wanted to make a film 'Kizhakku Kadarkarai Saalai with Srikanth as hero and they agreed a remuneration fee of Rs.40 lakhs for Srikanth. Rs.25 lakhs was given as advance and the balance Rs.15 lakhs was to be settled before release of the film.
Relations between them had soured in the meantime and Srikanth demanded his dues before going in for dubbing his dialogues. This caused hardship to Anthanan, so he wrote an IOU for Rs.15 lakhs to Srikanth.
The day before release of 'Kizhakku Kadarkarai Saalai' the distributors have come to collect the film boxes. However, Srikanth had given instructions to the lab that the boxes should not be released till his dues had been settled.
This naturally created problems and distributors gathered outside Srikanth's house and protested.
Enraged by this, Srikanth filed a police complaint against Anthanan and two of the production executives. The police then started hunting for Anthanan. The producer was naturally shocked and those of the producer's faction spoke to Srikanth and his father and made peace. The police complaint was withdrawn.
The Producers Association is upset that Srikanth did not bother to ask the Actors Association or Producers Association for a solution and instead went directly to the police. So, they have announced that there may be a stay order on his acting in other films.

Representatives of Nag Enterprises say, 'We are sure that the Dalits and downtrodden would watch the movie with utmost respect. At the same time we believe that the film would attract all classes of audiences. Almost all the scenes were exactly reproduced in the places where they occurred.'
'For example — the library where Ambedkar had studied in England, his seat No. 53 and his other colleagues, the real tussle that occurred between Gandhi and Ambedkar, the family background of Ambedkar and the problems he faced during his youth, his explanation on the books of Hindu/ Christian and Muslim religions and finally his decision not to die as Hindu and embracing of Buddhism… All these incidents were moulded on the celluloid with sheer hard work and research. 'Vishnu Sharma English Chaduvu' drama at 'TANA'
'Kavi Samrat' Viswanadha Satyanarayana was the first Jnanapeeth Award Winner in Telugu Literature. His novel 'Vishnu Sharma English Chaduvu' runs with hilarity through out. Vishnu Sharma is the Sanskrit writer of BC period, who penned 'Panchatantram' (Neethi Chandrika).
As per the fiction in the novel he comes down from heaven to learn English at Viswanadha Satyanarayana for a funny cause. Incidentally Tikkana Somayaji also accompanies him to learn English. The real fun starts then and it claims huge energy to laugh.
The novel was transformed as drama by veteran dramatist and writer CS Rao (writer of Chiranjeevi's first film 'Praanam Khareedhu') in a witty, jovial and amusing way.
The drama was played for the first time at Ravindra Bharathi on 10 th November. The response was pretty tremendous where the scenes among Viswanadha Satyanarayana, Tikkana and Vishnu Sharma while learning English bring laughs.
Critics and scholars feel that the drama has the right content to play at International Telugu meets like TANA, ETA and ATA as it discusses many things about Telugu and English in the satirical and ironical way.
While watching the drama, Telugu language lovers feel great about their mother tongue indisputably.

Big B on big screen Mahabharata?
The mega television serial Mahabharata inspired entire families to watch and pray together and now, the B R Chopra banner plans to turn Mahabharata into a film but with a twist. Director Ravi Chopra cannot cut a shorter version than six hours so he plans to cut two, three-hour versions of the film and release them in two consecutive weeks.Chopra isn’t worried about distributors agreeing to this new tactic and he sounds like a very inspired man.
"I watched Lord of the Rings and the time is right to make this film," says Chopra.
While the filmmaker is currently busy putting the finishing touches to his family drama Baabul, rumours are that Amitabh Bachchan will play Bhishm Pitamah's role and Rani Mukherjee will play Draupadi.
But Chopra says he's not cast anyone yet. “It’s still being scripted and the cast will take time to decide," says Chopra.
With Baabul already creating a lot of buzz and Bhootnath set to go on the floors, Mahabharata might be a while away.
Nevertheless, given his expertise with mythology on television, Chopra's Mahabharata is already creating a lot of curiosity.
