Oye success meet

The success meet of debutant director Anand Ranga's Oye, produced by D.V.V. Danaiah under the banner of Universal Movies with Siddarth and Shamili in the lead roles, was held at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad. Ananda Ranga, Suresh Babu, Siddarth, Rajasimha, D. Srinivasas Rao, Sureskha Vani, D.V.V. Danaiah, Krishnudu, Sapthagiri and others took part in the event. Oye, released recently, is still going strong in theatres. Distributor D. Suresh Babu said that he released Oye in Nizam and it collected a share of 1.5 crores in the first week and it is going to be a bigger hit. Ace producer Suresh Babu extended his good wishes to the team and said that based on the requirement, the number of prints of the film would be increased. Siddharth said, Tollywood is supporting Oye with positive responses and encouragements. Dil Raju phoned me and said that this film is made on an international scale. Anand Ranga told me that people are comparing Oye to Geetanjali, adding that Geetanjali did not have good openings, but Oye did. Yuvanshankar Raja's music is the highlight of the film and cinematographer Vijay Chakravarthy did a terrific job. I would like to thank the producer Danayya for making this film. (more...)
