Will V.Vinayakudu create magic?

Small is big! That is new mantra in Tollywood. Last year, films like Gamyam, Ashta Chemma and Vinayakudu earned big bucks despite non-stars. Especially Vinayakudu, which was made on shoe-string budget, was a trendsetter in many ways as the film starred obese looked Krishnudu in the lead role and yet went on to become big hit. Now the film’s sequel, Village Lo Vinayakudu, is hitting the screens next week. The question is: will it create the same magic as the original did?

Budget wise, Village Lo Vinyakudu, is a lesson on how to make ‘budget movies’ for small-budget filmmakers as the film was shot in just Rs 1.40 Crores. It also tied up with 10 big corporate companies - from promotion to funding. So, on paper, the film is profitable proposition even before its release for the film’s producer and director Sai Kiran Adavi. Now, it remains to be seen will it be even more fruitful for him on theatres front.
