Star-in-making Ramcharan Teja in the lead, paired with cute beauty Kajal Agarwal, ‘Madadheera’ is being churned out by successful director SS Rajamouli. Produced by Allu Aravind on Geetha Arts, it also has Real Star Srihari in a dual role. The shooting is in to the final phase now.
Designed as a semi-periodic entertainer, ‘Magadheera’ is a romantic story striking balance between mass and action elements. This second venture of Charan has already evoked big expectations among fans and trade circles.
Relating to the film producer Aravind said “Charan fits aptly to the title; this will take him a step higher on the rung as hero. Made on an unprecedented budget, with extravagant sets, and high-quality visuals, the magnum opus will set a new trend. We are expecting to bring it on this summer.”
He added that expensive sets have been constructed for ‘Magadheera’. The team toured Rajasthan and Gujarat to cover sequences related to periodic times. Another USP of the film is the remix chart buster ‘Bangaru kodi petta…’ featuring Charan with father-actor Chiranjeevi. It was originally enacted by Chiranjeevi in one of his blockbuster movies.
Efforts are underway to release the audio soon. The movie will hit the theatres around the second week of May.
The story is penned by V.Vijayendra Prasad, costume and styling by Rama Rajamouli, MM Keeravani composed the music, and Senthil of ‘Arundhati’ fame is the cinematographer. (more...)

Krishnam Raju fainted and hospitalised
Actor-politician Krishnam Raju, fainted with exhaustion unable to bear the summer heat. The mercury is jolting in state with the summer at its peak and the second phase polls underway.
It is well acquainted that Krishnam Raju has recently joined Chiranjeevi’s team and is contesting to LokSabha from Rajahmundry constituency on behalf of PRP. He had been conducting road shows for the past few days. Stained by the exhaustion he fainted suddenly, and was taken to a nearest hospital.

Chiranjeevi Doubtful To Win
While many have been trying to figure the outcome of election-2009, there are many who are approaching the astrologists for the future. In this process, about 4-5 astrologers are said to have assembled in Hyderabad and they have worked on the horoscope of megastar Chiranjeevi as per Prasna Hora Sastram.
It is heard that the Rajyastanadhipathi (ruling house) Moon has fallen in the 6th house which happens to be Satrusthaanam (negative house) which mean sthat he loses power to his enemy. On the other hand the ruling planet Jupiter is debilitated is being acquired by Rahu. Ketu is located in rajyasthaanam which is another bad omen. So due to this, the chances of victory for Chiru personally are looking quite weak, as per the astrologers.
However, they maintain that his Rasi Chakram is quite strong which shows that he has good strength if he attempts at the Central level so it could well be that the Praja Rajyam Party might have chances of winning few MP seats but proves poor with respect to MLA seats on a whole. As it is, things have not been going well for Chiru practically in the election scenario so come May 16th, the result will be out to see whether it is the planets that win or the voters pulse. ‘Ananthapuram 1980’ to hit theatres on May 1
‘Ananthapuram-1980’ the Telugu version of Tamil super hit ‘Subrahmanyapuram’, is soon releasing. Swathi of ‘Ashta Chemma’ fame as heroine, Sesikumar acted as hero and directed the movie.
The story revolves around five youngsters who fall into the trap of opportunistic politicians. It will be interesting to watch how the hero gets cheated in the name of love. Thought not a factionist film, it has a resemblance to the environs of Ananthapuram. Plotted on a path breaking theme, it is packed with suspense and has a message for youth.
Presented by M Narendra the Telugu version is being produced by M.Ranganath on Simhapuri Talkies. The movie is slated for release on 1st of May.

Upcoming films of Kamal Haasan
Kamal Haasan’s much awaited Hindi version of the blockbuster ‘Dasavatharam’ is finally out in theatres. Titled as ‘Dasavatar’ it arrived after 10 months the original was released. Directed by KS Ravikumar, Kamal Haasan transforms into 10 different roles on screen in this extravaganza produced on Aascar Films.
Versatile actor Kamal, is now shooting for his latest venture a remake of Hindi film ‘A Wednesday’ in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Called as ‘Eenadu’ in Telugu it is simultaneously made in Tamil, with Kamal co-starring Venkatesh and Mohanlal in the respective versions.
Kamal Haasan has two projects in line next to the remake. A bilingual film which is yet to be started, will be made and released simultaneously in south and bollywood, followed by it he will act in a film tentatively titled as ’19 steps’. More information on these projects is awaited. (more...)
Ash flews down to meet Mani Ratnam
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who recently celebrated her second marriage anniversary in Europe, took some time off and air-dashed from Hyderabad to Chennai to visit Mani Ratnam, who was hospitalised. A source said, “Ash was shooting with Rajnikant for Robot in Hyderabad when she heard about Mani’s hospitalisation. The actress took a day off from her shoot to visit the director in the hospital. Ash considers Mani to be family and he too thinks of her that way. In fact, Mani is the first director Ash worked with and the two have bonded over a period of time. Their bond grew after she became the Bachchan bahu. Interestingly, Raavana is Abhishek and Aishwarya’s third film with Mani, the earlier ones being Guru, where they were a pair; and Yuva with Abhishek and Iruvar with Aishwarya individually.”
The source added, “Ash was with Mani for the entire day at the hospital. The two spent some quality time together. She took a late night flight back to Hyderabad as she had an early shoot of Robot the next day.” Was Mani’s illness the couple’s excuse to spend exclusive time together? The source shot back, “There are these stories doing the rounds that Mani’s hospitalisation was an excuse for Abhi and Ash to take off on a holiday. But considering their closeness to Mani Ratnam, they cannot even think of doing that. In fact, it was Mani who suggested they take a break to celebrate their anniversary considering they hadn’t got a chance to be together in the past two years.” (more...)

Son kills dad for not voting for PRP
In a shocking incident, a die-hard fan of actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi killed his father for not casting his vote for the superstar's newly formed Praja Rajyam Party (PRP).
The incident took place in Visakhapatnam district in coastal Andhra after the first phase of polling Thursday but came to light Saturday.
The police said Kosuru Rajubabu, a labourer in Acchampet, became angry after learning that his 55-year-old father Kosuru Bullabbai cast his vote for Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and stabbed him to death Thursday night.
Rajubabu, 23, with the help of few villagers buried his father on the village outskirts the same night and the next day told the people that he died a natural death. The villagers, however, grew suspicious and one of them informed the police.
The police arrested Rajubabu, who confessed that he murdered his father for not voting for PRP. A police officer said further investigations were on.
Rajubabu is said to be an ardent fan of superstar Chiranjeevi since his childhood and had been campaigning for PRP launched by the actor recently.
His father was a supporter of legendary actor N.T. Rama Rao and the TDP founded by him.
The father and son had a heated argument before the polling about whom to vote for.
Rajubabu tried to convince his father that he support the PRP. Bullabbai was adamant on voting for TDP. He later agreed to his son's suggestion and promised to vote for the PRP.
After the voting, Rajubabu was enraged when his father told him that he voted for the TDP.
The two had another round of heated argument and the son killed his father the same night. (more...)

It looks like Young Tiger Jr NTR who is currently recuperating from the wounds of his accident will be seen in a dual role in his forthcoming venture.
It is known that NTR has teamed up with V V Vinayak for his next movie and sources say that he would be seen doing a double role in this.
The film has the hot Malayalam beauty Nayantara in the lead while the big eyed beauty Sheela is the second female lead. It must be recalled that NTR did a double role in the film ‘Andhrawala’ and that failed to shine at the box office so it now remains to be seen how this one is going to fare.

Shriya is back in Hyderabad
After a long hiatus, Shriya Saran’s going to be back in Tollywood with a bilingual film Pista. She is paired opposite Vishal in this love story laced with action. The actress had a really good innings in Tollywood before with hits like Tagore, Santhosham and Chatrapathi and was racing towards the top slot, but duds like Subhas Chandra Bose and Bhageeratha shattered her big dreams.
Slowly, she gravitated to Tamil and Hindi to keep herself busy. Right now, she’s also doing a Deepa Mehta film and is looking out for Telugu films with good scripts. “After a long gap I was shooting in Hyderabad recently and I am pleasantly surprised by the way the city has shaped up.
