Aarya 2 successful all over the places

With Aarya 2, Allu Arjun breaks the typical Tollywood tradition and does the unthinkable —he plays a “grey character”! Surprisingly the “gamble” says a buoyant Allu “seems to have worked at the BO and the film has notched fantastic collections not just in Hyderabad, but even in Mumbai, Chennai and overseas.”

Allu admits that as an actor he’s open to “experimenting” with his films. So, while Vedam “is an exciting concept”, Varudu is a masala flick with loads of “kick-butt scenes.” The young actor has always preferred working with newcomers over established stars and insists that he “prefers” to “work with debutantes” who have a freshness about them, “are ready to learn more”, and are “open to suggestions. I have become very friendly with a lot of my female co-stars.”

Nagarjuna's film is titled Kedi!

Kedi is the title for the Nagarjuna-Kiran combine film on Kamakshi Kala Movies banner with Annapurna Studios presenting it. A media briefing was arranged at Novotel Hotel, Hyderabad.

Nagarjuna, producer D. Sivaprasad Reddy and director Kiran were present.

Nagarjuna speaking on this occasion said that though several titles were considered for the film earlier, finally they had to fix the title as Kedi, based on the script and the mood of the film.

“My character in the film is a sort of the one which does magic with people around him. Action and entertainment will not be missed out. Though the film will take off with entertainment, the climax part would be serious. Though romance would play a vital role, it is not going to be everything. I bear in mind that my son is also doing the hero now. The character is coming up with multiple shades. In fact, I myself felt it to be very strange.”

He further said: “The director had worked with us for the serial Yuva as dialogues writer. That time, I noticed the talent in him. His narration is superb. Then I thought that Kiran could easily handle the direction part. After King, I asked him to narrate a story to me, which he did.”

D. Siva Prasad Reddy said: “The year 2010 is going to have a lot of importance to me. First of all, my friendship with Nag will be completing 25 years. His son Naga Chaitanya was a toddler that time. Now, I am doing a film with him. Third, the film Kedi is set for release in January 2010. We are set to release the audio of the film in a few days.”

Director Kiran said: “Producer Reddy did cherish superb ideas, which were young and dynamic. I followed most of his suggestions in the script. Screenplay will be a highlight in this film.”

The film has music by Sandeep Chowta.

Tirumala Tirupati to call Rahman

Possibly it must be the first time ever, if this happens. Of course music can cross borders and this initiative shows that in front of the supreme power all are equal and there are no differences like cast, religion, race and language.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), the trust that administers the temple on the Tirumala Hills, has planned to rope in A R Rahman. You might wonder as why will the Devasthanam should call Rahman? The answer is simple - They would like the Oscar winner to compose Keertans for the traditional religious hymns.

Sources say that Rahman will be approached by the Devasthanam board members to compose music for the songs penned by Telugu cum Sanskrit poet Tallapaka Annamacharya, who belong to the 14th century, praising Lord Venkateswara. “Hope Rahman would be lending his services for the Devasthanam,” said an official. It’s worthy to mention that the musician was once a typical Hindu.

Though the musician had done a lot of special albums, this one must be something very special, we say!
