Jr NTR Appeals not to Stop Screening of ‘Adhurs’

With no time for the release of his much-expected film ‘Adhurs,’ Junior NTR appealed not to stop screening of the movie. He said ‘I have born and grown up in Hyderabad and will make films in Hyderabad. I will even die in Hyderabad. My producers have to come here to make films with me. People of all regions have been showering love and affection on our family. It is only with their love and affection that our family has become so great. I appeal them to continue that.

He further said “Telugu film industry is strongly rooted in Hyderabad. It is well set here and will not move to any other place. Few people have created confusion by misleading people that it is moving away. It is completely false. And I am not against any region. I finally appeal to all not to stop screening of my film.”

Venky on Namo Venkatesha

Venkatesh has enviable track record of delivering highest number of hits among Tollywood stars. He also delivered blockbusters during the Sankranthi festival in the past like Kalisundaam Raa (2000) and Lakshmi (2006). This Pongal, he brings us another entertainer Namo Venkatesha directed by Srinu Vytla.

Tell us about Namo Venkatesha..

Namo Venkatesha is a breezy entertainer that has strong dosage of comedy, family values and bit of action. Right from the title, it generates a positive buzz and through out the movie you feel it - the affable comedy, soothing music, and good performances.

The title suggests like a devotional film

No, it is not devotional film. I play the role of a guy called Venkata Ramana who is devout bakta of Lord Venkateshwara. He leaves everything to the Lord and keeps chanting Namo Venkatesha and spreads positive energy. That is the reason why we selected the title and also the tagline - Be Positive is justified in similar manner.

Can you share some of the funniest scenes from the film?

Entire film is designed in funny way but the starting scenes are really hilarious. The character that I play has his own agenda and Brahmanandam has quite different agenda. Scenes between Brahmanandam and I and the conflict of their interests would amuse everyone. My dream in the film is to get 'dream girl' as he is ageing bachelor.

Your character and the storyline sounds similar to your past films like Mallishwari and Nuvvu Naku Nacchavu.

To certain extent, my character resembles to what I portrayed in those movies but it is not the Xerox copy of them nor it is extension of them. It sure reminds those characters yet deals with fresh scenes and novel thoughts.

You are teaming up with Trisha after that super hit Adavari Matalaku Arthale Verule again.

Trisha is fine actress. We had good chemistry in AMAV and we thought that people would love when proven jodi comes back again. That is why chose her and she did good job.

How do you feel when comedians like Brahmandam getting lion share in big star's films.

Nice to see that directors are lessening the burden on heroes. It's good for films and also good for industry. Whether it is Brahmanandam or any other actor getting enough footage according to script demands is healthy sign. Other than that, both Brahmanandam and I have great timing and our combination worked wonders in several films.

Tell us about your observations about director Sreenu Vytla.

Sreenu has already proven himself that he is capable of delivering big hits. Today he is big director but he also worked as an associate director in the past, so he knows my strengths as actor very well. He is also my fan. So he portrayed me in way what my fans and general audiences expect from my films. I am happy with his work and entire project.

Even the producers are friends to us and they made this film come out smoothly.
You shot the film in exotic locations like Iceland!

Yes, the idea is my brother Suresh's as he always try to show our audiences new locations in every film. This is first Indian film to shot in exotic and interior locations of breathtaking Iceland. All the crew toiled hard to can the scenes and songs there in those extreme cold conditions. But when you see those visuals on the film, you forget all the task.

When is your next film starts!

I am taking off from shoots few days after the release of Namo Venkatesha. Then I will let you know the details of my next film.

Where would be celebrating Sankranthi?

Here in Hyderabad with all my family members. I am taking off, only after the release.

Who is going to be the Sankranthi winner?

We predicted that the January war was going to be one of the most exciting BO wars in recent times. It seems that with three big releases - Adurs, Namo Venkatesa and Shambo Shiva Shambo, releasing in two shakes of a lamb's tail come next week, the fight will begin. Which one is going to emerge victorious.

If measured from the yardstick of pre-release hype, Adurs and Namo Venkatesa both stand good chance to get high openings. There is no limit to what Adurs can earn in terms of first week collections obviously because it is planned for a big theatrical release, even in the overseas market. On the other hand, Namo Venkatesa is sure to get the maximum openings for a Venky film because for his fans among the family audience, it is not only hugely awaited but also the hype that it is an all-out comedy is going to work to its immense advantage.

The names of VV Vinayak and Sreenu Vaitla associated with these films is only going to benefit them the most. Also the entertainment-starved audience are sure to lap them up in a big way, whatever the talk they generate in the first week. NTR has huge mass appeal, while Venky's 15-year old stardom is no less important. It will be a cut-throat competition between the two films.

Coming to Shambo Shiva Shambo, the Ravi Teja-starrer may not have generated the kind of hype it was expected to owing to the off colour look of the film, but it seems this story-based film is sure to unleash a surprise package. Elements like sensitive emotions spun around the values of friendship and sacrifice may attract the film audience.

Let's see who emerges Number One among the three!

Chiru’s Mega struggle

He is no more a Mega Star and not even a sensation in current politics. He is Chiranjeevi , who is now struggling for his existence in current political scenario. His decision to support Unified Andhra isolated him and his party in Telangana region and doesn’t yield the expected results or returns in Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. Precisely saying, no one from any region of the State is interested about him or his party’s activities. The one time Mega hero, who enjoyed the Mega following in the State, is now become a zero in the politics as well as lost his reputation as Mega Star.

Chiranjeevi who is struggling for his existence in the politics is planning to start ‘Save Andhra,’ movement soon to remind the people about his presence in the politics.

In a press conference held at his party office, PRP senior leader C. Rama Chandrayya said that the prevailing situation of the State made them to think about the ‘Save Andhra’ movement, with which they are planning to bring peace and harmony in the State.

“We can’t allow our State to be ruined by frequent agitations and bandhs. All the political parties of the State are playing mind games with Andhra-Telangana issue for their personal gains. If, we let them play their games, they are going to ruin our State soon. The State Government fails in all aspects. Ministers of the State are behaving like Ministers of local regions. They are not co operating to CM and to the Government. Virtually, the democratic system totally failed in the State. We think it is time for us to reorganise our political system into a better way.”
