Shriya makes come back to Telugu. Since 2005, she didn’t act in any Telugu film in lead role although she did item songs there after in couple of Telugu films. Her last Telugu film where she did the lead role was Bhageeratha opposite Ravi Teja. And five years later, she again comes to Tollywood in Ravi Teja’s current film, Don Seenu. She replaces Trisha, the original heroine in the film. Citing problem of adjusting dates, Trisha opted out from the movie and in place comes Shriya. This is really big comeback for Shriya who virtually has lost foothold in Tollywood.
She is also doing a special song in Pawan Kalyan's Puli. Looks like she's getting busier in Telugu all over again. (more...)

Tollywood gears up for Historical films
Post Magadheera and Arundathi more and more Tollywood producers and directors are getting ready with historical films. The latest one is the top director SS Rajamouli. He is all teaming up with his Chatrapathi star Prabhas for this prestigious historical film, which is set in 1930s and 1940s. The other major historical is being planned by director Gunasekhar.
He is doing groundwork for a new movie and this will be ‘Rudrama Devi’ which will be made at a very ambitious scale. Anushka will play the title role in this film. (more...)
